Introduction #
The NewTec SMART WebApp software can be run on all devices (PC, tablets, smartphones, etc.) under all operating systems and is used for flexible configuration of simple to highly complex applications in the simplest possible way.
Installation order #
We always recommend starting with the installation of the sending device (SMARTplayer and SMARTstreamer) and then installing the corresponding receiving devices (SMARTspeaker) and setting them up using software.
Set up groups within the SMARTplayer #
First power the SMARTplayer and connect it to your network. Start the NewTec SMART WebApp with any browser. Then create all groups whose volume you want to control later independently of each other. Then put the SMARTplayer in pairing mode and assemble the loudspeakers “in groups” by installing only the respective loudspeakers in a group and then immediately assigning them to the group concerned via the software.
Set up multiple SMARTplayers #
Power the first SMARTplayer, connect it to your network and start the NewTec SMART WebApp via your browser. Rename the first SMARTplayer (e.g. first floor). Power the second SMARTplayer, connect it to your network and it will automatically appear as “SMARTplayer” in the WebApp. Rename the second SMARTplayer (e.g. second floor). Repeat the process accordingly with each SMARTplayer.
Create Groups #
Before you install the loudspeakers, it is best to create all groups (e.g. entrance, cash desk, general) for each SMARTplayer (e.g. ground floor, first floor). Then put the SMARTplayer (e.g. on the first floor) into pairing mode and mount the loudspeakers “in groups” by only installing the respective loudspeakers in a group and then immediately assigning them to the relevant group in the WebApp.
